Kylie Minogue ‘set to move back to Australia after 30 years living in the UK’

Kylie Minogue has reportedly made the decision to move back to Australia after 30 years.

The former Neighbours actress, 53, has spent a number of years residing in the UK but sources say the singer has now decided to return home to be closer to her family.

It follows Kylie spending time in her birth country during the global coronavirus pandemic lockdown.

A source told The Mirror: "This is something she has been thinking about for a while.

"This year, when she was in Australia for an extended period due to travel restrictions, it gave her time to think about where she wants to be based.

"Like many artists she spends much of her life on the road or travelling so she doesn't anticipate that this is a major change for her as she's never in one place for a long time anyway.

"Covid has given her a lot of time to think about the future and she wants to see more of her family in the times when she isn't travelling, and so she will use Australia as her base."

Recently filed business documents state Kylie has also changed the the service address for her four main businesses to an address in a Melbourne suburb, with the source claiming the star has "changed her company details to reflect that she is moving."

Additionally, her place of residence on the documents has been changed to an Australian address.

Kylie previously shed doubt on her ever leaving the UK.

Speaking last September, the Spinning Around singer revealed her relationship with partner Paul Solomons put a pin in any plans to move.

She told Jessie Ware's Table Manners podcast: "Paul’s a Welshman but he's been in London for almost 20 years.

"There's just not going to be an Australian home. I have a British passport and an Australian passport. I think some people forget I'm Australian."

Paul has reportedly since left his job in London.

The source added that Kylie will 'still be in the UK a lot', with her currently preparing to release new music.
