Lewis Capaldi left onlookers in hysterics as he called out "cheap b*****ds" who didn't get a ticket for a concert but watched from the comfort of their home.

The Scotland-born singer recently headlined Lytham Festival in Lancashire to an audience of 20,000 – and a few extra locals catching the show for free.

A group of rowdy fans realised they could hear his performance as well as managed to catch an ariel view from their house which overlooked the festival site.

Tickets for the event which has also seen the likes of Diana Ross take to the stage range from £50 – over £300.

After seeing the fans on their balcony, Lewis said: "How about you lot standing on the balcony of your house, I can see you.

"Get back in the f***ing house, you cheap b*****ds, where's my money."

A video of the moment has since been uploaded to TikTok alongside the caption: "Imagine living in a house that looks over a festival so every year you can watch it for free."

Fans took the comments section to share their amusement with one saying: "Love his sense of humour."

"Lewis is one of the rear [sic] celebs who can joke around with his fans like that and they won't get offended," commented a second.

A third added: "I'd rather pay for going to a festival so when I was finished I could leave the racket and mess behind."

In recent years, Lewis has taken a step back from performing but recently joked about why he took a break.

He told crowds in Dublin that he had been "masturbating" throughout the coronavirus lockdown periods and that is why he hadn't released any new material.

Elsewhere, he told punters at the Isle of White festival he had been "lazy" but managed to have "lots of sex".

Lewis explained: "I'm very rusty at this, it's been a while since I did a gig like this, which is also what I tell every girl I have a one-night stand with.

"Yes, I have had lots of sex, lots of sex, this is gonna be fun, but I'm very nervous."

However, while fans had hoped for new music, he commented: "I was meant to play new music but I'm a lazy c**t and didn't do it over lockdown."
