One Direction's Liam Payne has left fans hoping that a reunion is on the cards soon.
The singer took to Instagram to share a huge milestone for the group who were put together as teens on The X Factor after discovering that their first song, What Makes You Beautiful, is about to hit a billion streams.

Liam shared a snap of the group from their early days and wrote: "Never in the making of this song so early in our career did I think I would be looking at those numbers, what an achievement boys!
"I'm so lucky not only to share this with you but also this amazing fanbase."
He continued: "Every day I'm learning about myself and what was all this for but now when I listen back and think of the power we had including you as a fanbase I'm so happy that for five years we made such a great soundtrack to life for myself and everyone who got to listen.
"Sharing laughter, pain and everything in between. Miss you boys. Lots of love me x."
Although the other members of One Direction, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik, haven't interacted with the post yet, fans were still hopeful it meant something.
One user wrote: "I opened Insta and this is the first thing I see. Why did I immediately think we're about to get the 1D reunion we've all been waiting for."
Another wrote: "I was going to have a heart attack until I read the description."
While a third said: "Get back together pls."
It comes after recent interviews from both Zayn and Liam as they opened up on One Direction, with Zayn admitting he left at the right time because he now looks on the experience positively.
Liam recently told Comobia's W Radio that his time in the boyband left "scars on him", but added he "wouldn't change a thing" now that he's come out the other side.
Fans are still eagerly hoping that the boyband will reunite for another tour after they went on their hiatus in 2016.
