Lil Keed dies aged 24 as brother Lil Gotit pays tribute to up and coming rapper

Atlanta rapper Lil Keed has passed away aged 24.

His brother, known as Lil Gotit, has taken to social media to share the heartbreaking news.

In a post, he wrote: "Can’t believe I seened u die today bro I did all my cries I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy."

His cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

Lil Keed, whose real name is Raqhid Render, leaves behind a young daughter called Naychur.

The rapper released his final album called Trapped on Cleveland 3 in 2020, which featured collaborations with artists including Travis Scott.

He had previously released his first two albums in 2018, Trapped On Cleveland 2 and Keed Talk to 'Em, while his single Nameless reached number 42 on the Billboard Hip Hop/R&B Songs Airplay Chart.

Lil Keed followed up his chart success with the 2019 album Long Live Mexico.

Fans and stars from the world of entertainment have been paying tribute to the artist, with fellow star Taylor Bennett calling Lil Keed a "true gentleman."

Taylor Bennett paid tribute to the rapper in an Instagram post, saying: "I want us all to pay respect. It's hard to give flowers when people are alive and I'm guilty.

"Keed you are the new sound of music surpassing hip hop and all genres."

Artist Lil CeeKay also took to Instagram to pay tribute to Lil Keed, calling him "an incredible father."

He said: "Fly high Lil Keed. Glad we got to build a bond these past 2 years, will always appreciate the support you always showed.

"Everytime I would sell to you and Lil Gotit you made sure I felt I was at home and made sure I left safely.

"Still remember when we were talking about how you can turn nothing into something."

He added: "Besides that you were an incredible father, you made sure to keep your daughter laced up and made sure she had nothing to worry about.

"Forever appreciate all the other moments we had off camera, legends never die."
