Listen to Yung Bleu and Nicki Minaj’s New Joint Single ‘Love in the Way’

The 28-year-old Mobile, Alabama singer/rapper and the ‘Super Freaky Girl’ hitmaker released their collaboration on Friday, September 16 after the latter teased the song last month.

Minaj opens the song by rapping, “You blew it, I could tell you knew it/ But you was like ‘Screw it,’ and I guess I’m fluid.” The femcee goes on, ” ‘Cause I was like, ‘F**k you and them b***hes included’/ ‘Cause I was goin’ through it, ain’t nothin’ more to it.”

“Baby, your love in the way/ But don’t stop it, just keep doin’ what you do/ How could I move with your love in my way?” Bleu chimes in. “It hurts to love again and it’s all because of you/ ‘Cause, baby, your love in the way (Your love)/ I need you right now, why would you push me away?/ Baby, your love in the way/ I need you right now, why would you push me away?”

Minaj first teased her collaboration with Bleu in August. At that time, she gushed on Instagram Story, “This song I just did with Bleu [smile emoji].” Earlier this week, she unleashed the cover art of the track, which showed her posing in a sexy black bodysuit and knee-high boots. The 28-year-old rapper/singer, meanwhile, went silver from head to toe.

Bleu had a lot to celebrate in these past few weeks. Recently, he shared a video and photo of him signing the papers inside the plane. Another picture showed him standing outside the plane, while a second clip was taken as he was seemingly on board the airborne jet.

In the caption, Bleu acknowledged his struggle for nearly a decade to survive and make his name in the music scene. “Nobody know we’re [sic] life can take you . It took me 10 hard years to get here,” he penned. “We’re [sic] can I start. I used to day dream all day when I lived with my mama. I used to tell people everyday Ima be successful. Some people believed some didn’t. I just Kept going !”

“On my road to success I fell off bout 4 r 5 times . Lost Alotta loved ones,” the “You’re Mines Still” spitter shared. “Gave away Alotta money blowed a lot to . But I dnt regret ! I helped Alotta people. At the same time Never hated on Nobody ! never said I deserved another man success . always played my role.”

Bleu, who announced his Moon Boy University facility last month, went on to brag, “Stayed a HUMBLE BEAST ! hits , im resilient! can’t be defeated ! I pulled my self up every-time ! ! IM PROUD OF MYSELF ! U A F**KING BEAST. To not even owning a car to owning plane !” He continued, “I couldn’t afford to buy Corbin diapers now to owning my own private jet.”

As for Minaj, she earned the largest solo debut for a female rap song in Spotify history with her latest hit “Super Freaky Girl. According to Chart Data, the track garnered more than three million first-day streams and became the top new entry on the Spotify Global Chart as it landed at No. 13.
