Judi Love has contacted ITV bosses asking to host a new version of Love Island for older contestants.
The Loose Women panellist tagged the TV network in a post on Twitter, as she retweeted comedian Clare Harrison McCartney's suggestion that she leads a new version of the popular dating show.
Clare said: "I’ve said for years to @ITV that there should be an older love island for real people.
She added: "It would be like Big Brother in the sun. I’d love to go on it. @1Judilove should definitely host it. It would be a right laugh. In my case though – Love Handles Island."
Judi then said: "Yepppp @LoveIsland @ITV."
The Tweets come after Judi expressed an interest in hosting an older version of Love Island in Wednesday's episode of Loose Women.
The panellists were discussing the potential format shake-up when Judi said: "I think a show like that would be great, I mean bring in the dramas, bring in someone, bring in an ex who wants someone back.
"Let's see some real romance and getting the juice and if you want a host, I'm right here."
Fans were quick to agree that Judi would be perfect as the host.
One person Tweeted: "Oh my days I would so be there to see @1Judilove on this."
Another said: "Where do I sign up," whilst another fan Tweeted a series of 100 emojis.
Laura Whitmore currently presents Love Island.
Speaking on Loose Women, Judi's fellow panellist Coleen Nolan was sold by the idea of a new version of Love Island.
She said: "I am addicted to Love Island, I absolutely love it. I'm obsessed, very tragically, but I am.
"I do enjoy it and it's beautiful people to look at and some of what they say just makes me laugh because they're so young but I would love to see an older version.
"I'd like to see the older style of romance, more normal kind of bodies and people and it being more about the personality rather than about how they look."
Judi later added: "When you think about dating in your later life than when you're younger, you learn so much."
