Love Island winner Liam Reardon tackles property world after quitting fame

Former bricklayer Liam Reardon has no plans for more reality TV. Instead, the Love Island winner wants to start up his own property business buying, renovating and then selling houses.

Down-to-earth Liam told The Sun: “I loved being a brickie before winning Love Island so I want to go into the property business.”

The 6'"6 hunk, from Methyr Tydfil in South Wales, intends to focus on the business from the New Year. And he's already given it some thought.

“I’ll start off in Wales because the house prices are a lot cheaper there," he said. "Plus that's the area where I have all my mates in the same industry.

“There's an electrician, plumber, carpenter. They can all help and get involved in the business.

"My dad is in the property business too so can give me advice and help out. He's my inspiration for wanting to do it."

Liam and his girlfriend Millie Court have just bought a gorgeous £1 million four bedroom apartment in Essex. Liam's longer term plan is to do up properties in that area.

“Hopefully I'll then be able to start doing up properties in Essex and other places," he said. "I am driven to be successful and feel passionate about property."

Liam and Millie's fellow finalists and former Islanders Teddy Soares and Faye Winter plus Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran have also moved into new properties with their respective partners.

Although Liam isn't chasing fame, he has rubbed shoulders with some celebrities recently.

"I met Peter Andre and I was speaking to Ashley Banjo after the Pride of Britain awards and they gave me some good advice.

"They told me to enjoy the ride, take the opportunities that come your way and be sensible with things.

"Before Love Island I looked at these people like massive celebs I’d never meet and the fact we’re chatting to each other like normal people now is crazy.

"And I’ve spoken to Kem quite a bit – he’s from Romford like Millie so they had that in common."
