Love Islands Amy Hart rushed home from holiday after panic pregnancy scare

Amy Hart returned early from her holiday in Spain after she "started bleeding" following a pregnancy scare.

The former Love Island star, 30, and her boyfriend Sam Rason announced in August that they were expecting their first child together.

Amy took to her Instagram account to tell her followers that she was on a first flight back to the UK after she needed an urgent injection.

She said: "I started bleeding, and I thought I was A+ blood type, and my midwife kept saying it's a good job I am that blood type.

"If I was a negative blood type, then I would need an Anti-D and go and get checked out on Monday.

"The next morning, Sam said, 'It's OK to be anxious about these things, you know. I told him, 'No, I'm not anxious. Please don't accuse me of being anxious. I'm positive'."

Amy found out her blood type after her mother opened her hospital letter while she was on holiday, which meant she had to hurry back home and began to "panic".

She explained that she had rhesus-negative blood, meaning she needed an "injection within 72 hours to develop an immune response to it."

Amy said: "You need an injection within 72 hours ideally, so I moved my flight earlier, and they managed to fit me in."

She added: "I'm going to Ibiza tomorrow at four in the morning, so I was fit in and had a consultation with the nurse, and she said she was going to try and find the heartbeat but wasn't sure she could as I'm only 15 weeks."

"She couldn't find it after trying but managed to sweet talk someone into giving me a quick scan to check, and the baby was all fine."

The reality TV star had previously said on Loose Women that she had frozen five of her eggs after doctors warned she was heading towards an "early menopause".

She revealed that her pregnancy was "100% unplanned" and said she still plans to use her frozen eggs in the future as she wants to have two to four kids.

The former air hostess is due to welcome her first child in March.
