The ‘We Belong Together’ singer is said to be not keen on the idea that her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, become part of the group along with Nick’s own children from other relationships.
AceShowbiz –Nick Cannon was allegedly thinking of a business idea involving his large brood, but at least one of the mothers of his children disagreed with him. Mariah Carey has reportedly shut down the multi-talented entertainer’s plan to start a family band with all of his kids, including his twins with the R&B diva.
Apparently seeing the potential in his children, “Nick was sure his kids could make millions as a band,” a source tells Radar Online of Nick’s idea. However, Mariah wasn’t into the idea because she won’t let her twins share the spotlight with her ex-husband’s children from other relationships.
“But Mariah poured cold water on his dream because she’s opposed to her children sharing the spotlight with Nick’s nine other kids from five different women,” the informant dished on the reason why Nick’s project will unlikely come to fruition.
Mariah has been known to highlight her 12-year-old twins on social media. On multiple occasions, the now-teens were also not shy to showcase their talent on the stage with their famous mother. At the 2022 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the 54-year-old brought along her two children to join her during performance of her iconic tune “All I Want for Christmas”.
At the time, Monroe wore an all-white ensemble that included a tutu and tiara, while Moroccan sported a red sweatshirt and black pants with a gold chain around his neck. The twins did their part diligently, dancing enthusiastically to the song along with dancers dressing in white tutu and red uniforms.
Besides the twins, Nick is also a father to 6-year-old Golden Sagon, 2-year-old Powerful Queen and 7-month-old baby Rise with Brittany Bell; 22-month-old twins Zion and Zillion and 6-month-old Beautiful with Abby De La Rosa; 10-month-old Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; and 7-month-old Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole. In December 2022, he welcomed Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott, one year after losing their son Zen to brain cancer.
