I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Matt Hancock has come under fire for his appearance on the show, but some believe it could be a chance for him to resurrect his reputation.
Jake Holyoak, Digital PR Manager atNiche Website Builders , has weighed in on the effect Hancock’s appearance on the show will have on his reputation.
Jake said that he could “absolutely” reinvent his image on the ITV programme, despite his unfavourable reputation with the British public.

Holyoak explained: “Matt’s image isn’t anything to shout about, currently. Putting himself in a tough social situation should bring out the real life Matt, not just the one we see in the news. If he shows a different side to the one that the public knows, it could help his personal brand image tenfold.”

Although he admitted that Hancock could change up his image, the show will “pose some tricky situations for him”.
He continued: “I'd be keen to see how he deals with 'off the record' questions from other contestants around certain key political topics. If he doesn't deal with it well, it could affect his personal image even more.”
Matt may not be able to brand himself as the jungle hunk this series, but his presence in the campsite may be for a better cause.
“I think Matt's purpose will be for the public to just see the real life side of him and hopefully build up some trust with the masses, I'm not sure whether he's got a good enough image to go in and play the hunk.”
Jake admitted that it will be “super interesting to see how it maps out” and he “imagines the public will see a few sides of him throughout the series”.
When asked about Matt's potential success from the ITV show Jake gave his thoughts.
He said: "I think Matt Hancock will [definitely] try and go that breakout star route. My prediction is that Matt will try and become a bit of a rebel, similar to how Dominic Cummings was when he started being a bit controversial on social media, leaking stories to the press and trying to win the masses trust back a bit."
Holyoak warned that the politician “needs to tread carefully” and explained: “If he tries too hard he could appear fake and that’s when the public will see straight through him and make his image even worse than it was [before he] headed into the jungle.”
He continued on to say: “Social media is massive for personal image, so if he appears genuine as he’s eating camel penis, it could go down very well on social [media].”
Jake also exclusively shared data fromNiche Website Buildersthat Hancock could earn an estimated £447 per Instagram post based on his current follower count of 79,000.
However, it could increase substantially if his follower count rises ten times like last year’s winner Danny Miller, meaning he could earn £4470.
