Max George vows to carry cardboard cut-out of Maisie Smith around

Max George says he is going to take a recently-bought cardboard cut-out of girlfriend Maisie Smith “everywhere”.

The Wanted singer took to Instagram Stories to show off his purchase, adding that he would be carrying the cardboard tribute to the 21-year-old EastEnders star with him from now on.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star Maisie could be heard giggling in the background as 33-year-old Max update his 355,000 social media followers.

Max, who met Maisie on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020, can be heard saying “wow” as he admires his purchase before revealing it to Maisie and his followers.

"Love it," Max says of the cardboard creation of Maisie in quotes reported by the Mirror.

The actress can be seen wearing high heels and an orange mini-dress in the cut-out and laughs at her partner's delighted reaction, saying "Oh my God" at one point.

Max adds: "That's going EVERYWHERE!"

Max and Maisie have been no strangers to sharing loved-up displays on social media since going public with their romance in September, with the actress even recently wearing her beau's name across her outfit in a sweet style statement shared to her Instagram page.

The pair even unwittingly paid tribute to power couple Posh and Becks earlier this month, as they headed to a showbiz bash in matching cream outfits reminiscent of how Victoria and David Beckham would often step out together in matching ensembles back in the day.

The couple reportedly grew close during the Strictly live tour at the beginning of this year.

Rumours surrounding the pair began last month, when the two stars were spotted allegedly "all over each other" on a flight from Manchester to Crete, despite their reported attempts to go incognito – just weeks after the singer split from his on-off ex Stacey Giggs.

Max and Stacey – who was once married to retired footballer Ryan Giggs – rekindled their romance in April following Tom Parker's tragic death, but split for the second time just four months later.

Since going public, The Wanted singer and Maisie have been packing on the PDA and the former soap star added Max's name alongside a love-heart emoji to her Instagram bio earlier this month, after the loved-up pair officially confirmed their romance following weeks of rumours.

But the love birds are set to be torn away from each other in the near feature, following Max's decision to sign up for a bizarre new show that will see him banned from seeing his girlfriend and deprived of light for Channel 4's latest star-studded reality TV series, Scared Of The Dark.
