Strictly Come Dancing viewers were devastated last year when The Wanted singer Max George was the third celebrity to be voted off the 2020 series.
However, fans will be delighted as Max has recently been announced for the 2022 Strictly Come Dancing tour, where he will be paired with professional dancer Katya Jones.
Before appearing on Strictly last year, Max's ex Carrie Baker had warned his girlfriend Stacey Giggs about the "Strictly Curse", but Max wasn't caught by it, with the singer gushing over Stacey in recent Instagram posts.
Daily Star takes a look at Max's dating history – from beauty queens, to TOWIE stars and his engagement heartbreak.
Engagement heartbreak
Max began dating Coronation Street and Our Girl star Michelle Keegan in 2010, with Max popping the big question to the telly beauty just over a year later.
However, the couple called off their engagement and split in 2012, with Max later blaming his drinking on their break-up.
He told The Sun: "I had a real problem with drinking too much and that was, without doubt, the downfall of our relationship.
"I was drinking more to forget the fact I was with someone who wasn't making me that happy."
He added: "I tried to kid myself it would work out OK, but the moment she said she didn't want to be engaged anymore I know that something was wrong."
TOWIE romance
After splitting from Michelle Keegan, Max went on to date The Only Way is Essex star Lucy Mecklenburgh in 2014.
At the time, Lucy described Max as the best looking guy she had ever been with.
In a weird coincidence, Lucy's ex and fellow TOWIE co-star Mark Wright met Max's ex Michelle Keegan in Dubai in the same year, with the couple later marrying in 2019.
However, Max and Lucy's love was not meant to be, and the couple split, with Max later going on to say that the split was amicable.
He told OK! Magazine: "Lucy's awesome. I'll always say nice things about Lucy, she's a top girl."
"We definitely don't see each other as exes."
Since their split, Lucy has gone on to date Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas, and in 2021, they welcomed their first child together.
Beauty Queen ex
After The Wanted split up in 2014, Max went on to pursue a solo career and moved to America, where he starred in hit television programmes including Glee.
While he was in Los Angeles, Max met beauty queen Carrie Baker in the bar Rock and Reillys and they moved in together soon afterwards.
Carrie also revealed to The Daily Mail that during their first year together, she became pregnant, but sadly had a miscarriage during the pregnancy.
The couple were together for over five years, with Max travelling back and forth from England to visit Carrie while he was working and she was training to be a nurse.
However, Max and Carrie's relationship came to an end in February 2019, when Max broke up with her on the phone.
Speaking to The Sun about their relationship following Max's appearance on Strictly Come Dancing, Carrie later warned that he may succumb to the so-called 'Strictly curse'.
She said: "Everyone knows what Strictly is like – and I know what Max is like. He's a serial flirter. I thought I was going to marry him and have his children.
"I've never been in love like that and it broke my heart when he left."
Footballer's ex-wife
Two months after his relationship with Carrie Baker ended, Max began dating girlfriend Stacey Giggs.
They first met at V Festival in 2011, but after they were reintroduced by a mutual friend at a pub in Manchester, their romance began to blossom.
Stacey is the ex-wife of professional footballer Ryan Giggs, who she split from in 2016 following a £40 million divorce settlement, after nine years of marriage.
She also had two children, Liberty, 18, and Zachary, 14, with Ryan, with Max telling Metro that he is not trying to be their father.
He said: "I live with them. Sometimes the kids say, "When we’re asked, we don’t always know what to say about who you are.
"I’m like, 'Just say Max, that’s fine."
"I’m not a dad. I kind of blend in, I’m one of them," said Max, adding, "Stacey’s upstairs on her own and I’m down there with the kids. But it works."
