Megan Thee Stallion Predicted She'd Become a 'Household Name' in Love & Hip Audition

Megan Thee Stallion always knew she was a real hot girl — even before her music career fully took off.

In a previously unreleased clip of her Love & Hip Hop audition (which she submitted before her rise to fame), the 25-year-old hitmaker confidently declared that she would one day become a star. The official Love & Hip Hop Twitter account dropped the video on Monday — and it features some cast members watching her introduction tape in what appeared to be awe. The video's emcee even jokingly said it looks like the show's producers may have missed the bag, while one cast member added, "That is manifestation at its finest."

"It's Megan Thee Stallion, a.k.a. young Tina Snow (one of her rap names) a.k.a the H-town hottie," she began with a smile. "I'm just the best female rapper that's poppin' off right now and on top of that, I'm a full-time college student. My [late] mom was a female rapper. One day, I was 18 and I was like, 'Mom, I wanna be a rapper. Imma rap.' She was like, 'No, you can't' and I was like, 'Yes, I can.'"

"'Megan Thee Stallion' is just gonna become that household name," she said. "When you're talking about those poppin' rappers, I'm gonna definitely be in that conversation."

Chatting with PEOPLE in June, Megan (née Megan Jovon Ruth Pete) revealed the driving force behind her desire to pursue higher education.

"I want to get my degree because I really want my mom to be proud," she said of her mom, Holly Thomas, who died in March 2019 after battling brain cancer. "She saw me going to school before she passed."

She lost her grandmother shortly after her mom's death and her dad passed away when she was a teenager. "I want my big mama to be proud," explained the star. "She saw me going to school before she passed. My [paternal] grandmother that's still alive used to be a teacher, so she's on my butt about finishing school. I'm doing it for me, but I'm also doing it for the women in my family who made me who I am today."

Living out her dreams as a female rapper, Megan has released three Billboard No. 1 hits and eight top 10 songs. She has also won BET Hip Hop Awards, a Soul Train Music Award, American Music Award, People's Choice Award and two MTV Video Music Awards.
