Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about her painful endometriosis surgery as she shared her scars in a brave new YouTube video.
The 22-year-old took to her Instagram account on Tuesday (March 23) as she asked her loyal legion of fans to send her their questions about her condition with a black and white snap of herself recovering in hospital after her operation back in September.
In the picture, the Love Island star shared the two incision wounds she was left with in her stomach while a cannula is seen in the back of her hand.
Opening up on her condition with her fans on the video platform, the fashion and beauty influencer compared the excruciating period pain “to labour” cramps.
Now, as the Filter tan founder approaches her six-month milestone from her life changing surgery, Molly-Mae is ready to open up about the operation has helped her condition in a tell-all video on her YouTube channel.
As she showed her scar on camera she explained how the procedure went which has forced her to take some time to recover.
She said: “They obviously went in my belly button as well and lover down, but I don’t really think you want to see that.
“Not that I have to justify why my stomach isn’t extra toned today but yes, that is why.”
It comes after the star confessed how she has been “struggling” with her body image after the invasive surgery.
In recent weeks, the reality star has been working hard in the gym and maintaining a healthy diet in an effort to improve her physique but admitted she “can’t see a single change” to date.
She opened up to her 1.64million followers on her YouTube channel as the beauty influencer explained she is “very self-critical" and has been finding thing tough to get into shape.
Molly said: “It’s the end of another day today. A day that hasn’t been the best, but I do think I'm due on my period in a couple of days, so I've been quite emotional.
“I’ve come to realise I am just generally quite an emotional person,” she confessed. “I struggled this morning because I woke up and I really felt like I wasn’t seeing any progress from the gym and eating clean.”
She went on: “I think for me, I'm very much a results motivated person. When I see results, it gives me the motivation to carry on.
“For the last couple of weeks, I've really been hitting it hard and I think I had a moment this morning where I just felt like, ‘Why am I not seeing a single bit of change in my body’.”
