"I need to take time off for personal reasons.
"Thank you to all my loyal fans for always supporting me XXX”.
The announcement sparked concern among fans as Katie is usually very active on social media.
She’s not revealed when she’ll be making a return to her accounts.
As she takes a step out of the spotlight temporarily, here’s why Katie is taking a break from social media.
Why is Katie Price taking a break from social media?
In her announcement to fans about her break from social media, the only details that Katie gave was that it was for “personal reasons”.
But the Mirror has revealed that her time off could be because she’s ill.
They reported that the 44-year-old has become “very sick” while on holiday in Thailand.
Katie’s been on holiday with her fiancé Car Woods since last week and was spotted enjoying the sunshine while shopping.
But things have taken a turn for the worse as a source revealed to the Mirror that she may have caught food poisoning.
The source said: “Katie suddenly got very sick.
“She has been throwing up and feeling poorly. Katie could possibly have got food poisoning, although she’s trying to not let it affect her holiday and time with Carl.
“She is slowly on the mend,” the source added. “Katie is hoping she can enjoy the last few days of her holiday without any interruptions and can soon be back to her usual self.”
What is happening with Katie Price?
Katie Price jetted off to Thailand shortly after she had two driving charges against her dismissed.
The two charges, including one of speeding, were dismissed during the court hearing on July 5.
Last month, Katie Price avoided jail after admitting to breaching a restraining order against her ex-husband's fiancee Michelle Penticost.
The reality star had been warned she faced a potential prison sentence after pleading guilty.
But instead of being sentenced to time behind bars, Katie was handed an 18-month community order to carry out 170 hours of unpaid work.
She also had an additional 20 hours added due to a breach of a suspended sentence and was ordered to pay £1,500 in costs.
