The 23-year-old Baton Rouge rapper is seemingly upset that the ‘Certified Lover Boy’ artist didn’t want to work with him due to his friendship with Lil Durk, who has been feuding with him for years.
AceShowbiz -NBA YoungBoy a.k.a. YoungBoy Never Broke Again wasn’t holding it when writing “F**k the Industry Pt. 2”. On the track, the Baton Rouge rapper brutally calls out fellow emcees like Drake, J. Cole and Lil Yachty.
The 23-year-old is seemingly upset that Drake didn’t want to work with him due to his friendship with Lil Durk. “Talked to Drake ‘cross FaceTime, he wasn’t feelin’ me,” he raps in the first verse of the song.
“Told me that he f**k with Durk, damn, that s**t gettin’ to me,” he continues. “Told me that he like the s**t I’m doin’, but can’t do s**t with me/ So, when we cross our ways, f**k what you say, b***h, you my enemy.”
YB then comes against J. Cole, who has teamed up with Durkio on his new single, “All My Life”. He spits, “J a ho, that n***a played it cold, like he was gon’ do a feature/ So I texted his line, a muscle sign, I swear it’s gon’ be nice to meet you.”
When dragging Lil Yachty for whatever reason, YB doesn’t think twice to throw a homophobic slur. “Play with me, Lil Yachty mad about JT, f****t,” he raps.
YB and Durkio have been feuding for years now and it was escalated following the death of King Von, who was allegedly shot and killed by a friend of YoungBoy’s artist Quando Rondo. Tensions rose last February when Durkio released a diss track titled “AHHH HA” aimed at the “Outside Today” emcee. YB then hit back on his own song “I Hate YoungBoy”, which finds him taking shots at Durk and his then-fiancee India Royale.
YB even dropped his new album “Richest Opp” on Friday, May 12 because Durkio initially announced that he would release his new record, “Almost Healed”, on that day. The latter project, however, won’t arrive on streaming services until May 12.
