AceShowbiz –Nicki Minaj has added more accomplishments to her belt. The Trinidadian femcee has broken more records after she became a trending topic on social media for her star-studded Rolling Loud set.
On Sunday, September 25, Chart Data reported that the “Super Bass” hitmaker becomes “the first female rapper to earn a milestone ten #1 hits at U.S. Rhythmic radio.” The raptress, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, retweeted a post about her new earnings with three emojis, champagne glasses toasting, a winking face and a partying face.
A few minutes later, Chart Data posted an update that the 39-year-old raptress’ new track “Super Freaky Girl” has now “sold over 1 million units in the U.S.” Reacting to the news, Nicki expressed her excitement as writing, “Platinum tingz?!?!! Yaaayyyyy.” She also added a bunch of emojis, including confetti ball and hands forming a heart shape emoji.
Nicki Minaj celebrated her new music milestones on Twitter.
The achievement arrived shortly after Nicki delivered a star-studded Rolling Loud performance which caused her to trend online. While on stage on Friday, September 23, the “Anaconda” rapper performed many old hits before bringing out a few esteemed artists to accompany her like Lil Uzi Vert, BIA, Fivio Foreign and G Herbo (Lil Herb).
Besides her star-studded set, Nicki was also a hot topic for other reasons. Video footage captured a fan in the audience attempting to snatch a piece of the Harajuku Barbie’s long black hair.
The fan’s attempt was apparently successful as Internet users found a listing selling her strands for thousands of dollars. The description for the pieces read, “Nicki Minaj’s hair from Rolling Loud ’22,” and was priced at a whopping $12,200. As of now, the hair has 21 bids.
Last week, Nicki also broke another record with the success of her latest single “Super Freaky Girl”. A little over a month since its release, multiple reports confirmed her new song became the fastest solo female rap song to accumulate 100 million streams on Spotify.
The new streaming milestone underscores the immense success Nicki has experienced since it debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100. The explosive new single also gave the 39-year-old Grammy-winning artist her very first No. 1 hit as a solo artist and the first chart-topping debut for any solo female rap artist since Lauryn Hill‘s 1998 single “Doo Wop (That Thing)”.
