Peter Kay has hinted at a "big announcement" he will be making this week as he thanks fans in an emotional social media post.
The comedian, who stepped away from the limelight in 2017 when he cancelled a 14-month tour because of an "unforeseen family circumstance", seems to be on a roll since announcing his tour last month.
On November 6 during the I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! launch show, Peter announced a huge comeback tour which saw his site crash.

The sell-out tour began this month in Manchester, and now Peter has thanked his fans for attending, while announcing an upcoming "big announcement".
In a tweet posted on Wednesday afternoon, Peter penned: "I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to the first shows in Manchester. It was incredible to be a part of such a happy experience."
He added: "Everybody deserves a bit of joy. Here's to a lot more in the shows to come!!"
Peter then added a P.S. at the bottom of the post, which read: "Big announcement Thursday on Sara Cox Drivetime Show just after 6pm."
Fans in the comments section went wild, with many begging for more dates added to his slew of tour dates over the next year.
Elsewhere, fans speculated the comic's beloved TV programmes Phoenix Nights or Car Share making a comeback.
"Please let this be another series of Car Share," begged one fan.
Another added: "I know it won’t be but…imagine if it was to do with car share."
"If the words Phoenix Nights series and three ain’t mentioned Christmas is ruined," urged a third.
While a fourth sweetly said: "Peter you’re a breath of fresh air in these days of Political madness and rising prices. Thank you so much for giving us happiness and laughs in dark days. Love you to bits mate. All the best with your shows. Cheers."
And a fifth wrote: "Congratulations PK I still think a pay per view show on TV would be great for all of us who couldn’t get a ticket."
Peter's Phoenix Nights TV series ran from 2001 until 2002, while Car Share ran from 2015 until 2018.
