Piers Morgan calls Harry a ‘family-trashing halfwit’ for ‘exposing the Royals’

Piers Morgan has accused Prince Harry of “exploiting the Royals” during a recent tirade against the Duke of Sussex.

Straight-talking Piers, who’s notoriously known for ripping into royal figures Harry and Meghan, blasted the Prince following his explosive TV interviews, which aired on Sunday (January 8).

Harry spoke to ITV’s Tom Bradby about his new autobiography, Spare, and followed it up with a chat across the pond with Anderson Cooper on CBS’s 60 Minutes.

Piers was one of the first to criticise Harry following the wake of the interviews as he took to Twitter to share his reaction to the explosive confessions.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter tweeted: “Never seen an unhappier ‘happy man’ in my life."

He added: “Prince Harry’s a bitter, delusional, paranoid, family-trashing halfwit exposing & exploiting the Royals’ most personal secrets for gazillions whilst wanging on with jaw-dropping hypocrisy about media intrusion.”

Finishing his tweet, Piers wrapped up with: “He’s pathetic.”

Hundreds of responses with divided opinions chimed in on the discussion.

One person wrote: “Well said, Piers, I agree,” while another tweeted: “Nail on the head with that, Piers.”

A third commented: “There are two sides to every story, and we’re just seeing one.”

Others criticised Piers for his scathing tirade against the royal.

“Not sure we were watching the same interview!” penned one, while another donned: “Oh Piers, give it up. The man has a right to write a book about….. HIS. LIFE. Just like you could write about yours.”

A third added: “Let him say his truth. He’s allowed to”.

It comes as Harry addressed several claims in the tell-all interviews, including the loss of his mother, Princess Diana, and the royal rift between him and the family, amongst other things.

In the ITV interview, Harry discussed his PTSD due to the traumatic loss of his mum when he was aged just 12.

Speaking to Tom, Harry admitted he had kept his emotions bottled up for a number of years and explained how he “lost a lot of memories as a defence mechanism” and a way to deal with his loss.
