Piers Morgan takes cheeky swipe at Lord Sugar as he claims nobody knows him

Piers Morgan has sparked rumours of a new feud with former rival Alan Sugar after his latest war of words with The Apprentice star on Twitter.

The former Good Morning Britain host, 57, took to the social media site to make a swipe at Sugar, 75, over a comment he made regarding a side feud with Caitlyn Jenner.

Reality star Caitlyn had tweeted a shocking swipe at Piers last week, claiming his controversial editing of former President Donald Trump “storming out” of his interview was a “pathetic attempt to “revive the career of a failed television host.”

In response, Piers updated his followers days later, saying: “UPDATE: I had a great clear-the-air chat with Caitlyn on the phone last night and as a result, she will now be appearing exclusively on @PiersUncensored tomorrow night for an extended live interview.”

Seeing an opportunity to make a cheeky dig at his pal, Lord Sugar chimed in, tweeting: “Who you got on Friday. Ena Sharples grand daughter @piersmorgan.”

Fans left a series of laughing emojis in the comments, but Piers wasn’t amused.

He left a savage reply, blasting: “I would have you but sadly nobody in America has a clue who you are.”

The two came to blows last year after Piers criticised the Government’s handling of the pandemic on Good Morning Britain.

Lord Alan took issue with the presenter’s comments and called him out on Twitter, leading to a huge rift between the formerly good friends.

However, the ice finally thawed as Piers explained in his Daily Mail column how he “began to miss the old goat” as the pandemic continued and holidays to St Tropez with their families.

“I’ve even missed Sugar as a human being,” Piers stated.

He wrote: “Beneath his gnarly, blunt and often breathtakingly rude exterior, he’s got a good heart,” recalling how the Apprentice star sent an “incredibly kind letter” when his father had a stroke.

Piers admitted they’re “more similar than either of them would ever care to admit” and felt it was “two-faced” of him to cut Lord Alan off for disagreeing with him.

Now it seems the feud is once again back on as the controversial news host continues to make headlined amid his new chat show.

Piers’ new chat show is broadcast on TalkTV internationally on Sky News Australia in Australia and Fox Nation in the United States.
