Taylor Swift impersonates Harry Styles in 2013 Grammys performance
Working from home is the state many of us find ourselves in, and for some of us we are nearing a year of working in our houses. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed working lives for many, and left some in a difficult situation. But for those who are needing inspiration while at their home-desks, who is the best artist to listen to?
Who is the best artist to listen to while working from home?
According to MADE.com, which analysed 2,000 playlists on Spotify, there is one person who crops up far more frequently than others.
That person is Taylor Swift, who came out with two brand new albums in 2020.
Her eighth album Folklore was released in July of this year after months of lockdown.

However, not content with this, Taylor also released her ninth album Evermore, just in time for her 31st birthday in December.
Announcing her latest album with little fuss, Taylor tweeted: “To put it plainly, we just couldn’t stop writing songs.
“To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music.
“We chose to wander deeper in. I’ve never done this before. In the past I’ve always treated albums as one-off eras and moved onto planning the next one after an album was released.
“There was something different with folklore. In making it, I felt less like I was departing and more like I was returning.
“I loved the escapism I found in these imaginary/not imaginary tales. I loved the ways you welcomed the dreamscapes and tragedies and epic tales of love lost and found into your lives. So I just kept writing them.”
However, she is not the only singer who is appearing on people’s playlists, as the second in line, according to the research, is Khruangbin, an American musical trio who blend various styles to create something entirely new.
Ariana Grande came in third on the list and she, too, has been busy in 2020.
She released her sixth album Positions in October 2020, after appearing on Lady Gaga’s mega-hit Rain on Me, which was released earlier in the year.
She also appeared with Jennifer Hudson in a remix of Mariah Carey’s famous Christmas song Oh Santa!, which was then performed on Mariah’s Christmas special on Apple TV+.
Next in the list is Harry Styles, who has been the subject of much conjecture despite his being out of the limelight in 2020.
He released his second album Fine Line in 2019, after which he intended on going on a world tour to promote it in 2020.
This was derailed by the coronavirus pandemic, however, but he has slowly but surely been releasing singles throughout the year.
A potential reunion with One Direction was the most talked about subject regarding Harry Styles, as well as his reported relationship with actress/director Olivia Wilde, so his music took a back seat to some other potential goings-on.
In the fifth spot on the list is Sam Hunt, a young country singer who is making waves across the pond.
His music is also a blend of styles, including country, R&B and pop, which has seen him stand out from the crowd and gain some big nominations such as at the Grammys and Billboard Awards.
The list is completed by five lesser-known artists: SHINee, Mr Hong, Johnnyswim, Everlast and Champion.
