Robbie Williams says he could ‘astral project’ above Stoke-on-Trent as a child

Singer Robbie Williams believes he could astral project his soul as a child and leave his body.

The Angels warbler’s first vivid memory is having an out-of-body experience where his spirit was separated from his physical form and he was floating above his hometown of Stoke-on-Trent.

He said: "My first memory of being a child, we lived in a pub until I was four years old, so I can differentiate when my memories started.

"My first memory is astral project in a dream state, floating off around the town.

"That’s my first memory."

His experience and some research he has done has led Robbie to believe that the physical human body is nothing more than an avatar.

He told the Bought The T-Shirt Podcast: "This is an avatar, the Robbie Williams. I believe this is an avatar. Well I say I believe, I think I have a knowing.

"I’m either mad or I know some s**t."

Another childhood experience has led the former Take That star to believe that the entire world is an illusion, much like the plot of The Matrix movies.

The pop star is not "scared" at the prospect and is content to just accept that, if true, there is nothing that humans can do to change it anyway.

He said: "I was nine years old. I was on a BMX and I was outside Port Vale Stadium and I was by myself and I had this overriding sense that none of this was real.

"I was absolutely terrified and I peddled home as fast as my legs could carry me and never mentioned it.

"I still feel the same, I’m not scared about it."

It isn’t the only example of Robbie believing he’s more connected to the paranormal world – as he believes he has seen UFOs multiple times.

Speaking on an Irish radio station in 2017, he explained: “I’ve seen stuff that I can’t explain… I’ve had a UFO right above my head, totally sober. Less than 150 feet above my head and there it was.”

He labelled his encounters "intriguing and powerful," explaining: "I’ve experienced phenomena I can’t explain.

"I’ve seen one right above me and if I got a tennis ball out I could have hit it with a tennis ball."

One man has even claimed to have seen Robbie being "abducted by aliens" in Bradford back in 1999.

Russ Kellett told Daily Star: "I looked around and there was someone waiting behind me. I looked at this young man and recognised him.

"I said, ‘Don’t I know you from somewhere?’ He replied, ‘I don’t know.’ Then I was told, ‘Get back in line’.

"I didn’t see him again after that, but I am sure it was Robbie Williams. We only spoke briefly, but it was definitely him."
