Rod Stewart, 77, falls backwards on sofa with his kids in amusing Instagram clip

Sir Rod Stewart has shared a hilarious video of himself and his children falling backwards on a sofa.

The 77-year-old crooner is renowned for his hilarious social media contributions, including a recent viral Tik Tok dance.

Posting to Instagram on Thursday, Rod kept his followers further entertained by sharing a hilarious video of himself with his children Ruby, Renee and Liam.

The 15-second clip sees the family all crowded on one sofa before pushing themselves and the sofa back, ending up with their feet in the air and their backs to the ground.

Rod wrote in a caption: "Bottoms up! Home entertainment with the Stewart's: Ruby, Renee, Liam and Sir Rod.

"Who needs computers!?"

Dressed in a pair of ankle-length white skinny jeans, Rod appears to flail the most after the sofa has landed.

The clip ends before followers can see how the famous family got out of their entanglement.

Quick to share their amused response to the funny clip were Rob's Instagram fans.

The rocker boasts 1.1 million followers on the social media site and many were quick to praise the "fun" and "silly" family.

One fan wrote: "Old-fashioned, technology-free fun!"

Another follower commented: "Looks like fun ….silly fun is the best."

Meanwhile, a third replied: "Penny will no be happy if she walks through that door and sees you lot with your legs in the air."

A fourth remarked: "I love this family!"

Another fan quipped: "I think you've started a new challenge! Lol."

Rob shares his 34-year-old daughter Ruby with his former partner Kelly Emberg.

Meanwhile, siblings Renee, 29, and Liam, 27, are from Rob's second marriage to Rachel Hunter.

Last December, the ageing rocker stunned fans when he and his wife Penny Lancaster, 51, took part in the viral TikTok challenge which saw fans dance to Rod's hit single Do You Think I'm Sexy?.
