Sarah Greene has revealed her new lover was a friend of her late husband, Mike Smith.
The BBC Radio One DJ passed away in 2014 at the age of 59 from major heart surgery complications, leaving his wife of 25 years heartbroken.
Speaking earlier this month, former Blue Peter presenter Sarah, 64, revealed she had found love again with 65-year-old Robb Gravett.
The ex-British touring car champion was one of Mike's oldest friends and Sarah has since shared her belief that her late husband "pulled strings" in getting the two together.
She told the My Time Capsule podcast: "I sort of know Mike is pulling so many strings in my life.
"He has undoubtedly been responsible for me meeting my beloved who was one of his oldest friends, who waited a certain amount of time but did keep leaving messages on the answering machine.
"I thought he was just being kind."
The pair soon began dating, with Sarah adding that both she and Robb are "sure" about their love in spite of the "strange" situation.
She added: "I remember being terribly worried and saying to this dear man who I'd known for all these years, 'isn't it strange coming into the house and seeing all these pictures everywhere of Mike?'
"He said, 'No, no, it's not strange. It'd be strange if they weren't there. And remember, I love him too.'"
Sarah married her first husband Mike in 1989.
A year later in 1990, Mike and Robb jointly ran the Trakstar team which won the British Touring Car Championship.
Mike rose to fame while hosting Radio 1 between 1982 and 1988.
He also helped host the BBC coverage of Live Aid and briefly worked on Top of the Pops as a presenter.
