Shaken Jodie Comer ups security after string of scares on set of latest film

Shaken Jodie Comer is being protected by a top celebrity bodyguard on the set of her new film after a series of scares.

The Killing Eve actress, 29, is said to be reeling after another “situation” occurred in recent weeks involving someone connected with the movie.

It’s understood Jodie’s guard used to work for Benedict Cumberbatch, 46, who is co-starring in and producing the actress’ latest film, apocalyptic thriller The End We Start From.

A source said: “The film’s producers want to ensure that everyone is as safe as possible and, with Jodie’s unpleasant experiences, they didn’t want to take any risks, no matter how small.

“A bodyguard who has previously looked after Benedict was drafted in and other measures have been implemented. Jodie’s safety is paramount. She has had some nasty experiences lately.”

In April, Jodie – who shot to A-list Hollywood status after playing psychotic assassin Villanelle in the award-winning BBC thriller Killing Eve – was hit with her third known stalking incident.

A fan is understood to have arrived at the Harold Pinter Theatre for her one-woman show, Prima Facie, about a high-flying lawyer who is raped by a colleague, trying to give her a bunch of flowers.

Weeks later, her smartly dressed admirer was again seen behaving “oddly” and pointed out to security staff.

Last summer, Jodie was left terrified after a crazed fan based in France sent her death threats – including a message that warned: “I am coming to England to create carnage.”

The Liverpool-born actor’s family also reportedly received messages from the unhinged 44-year-old man, who was arrested by police after they raided a house in Roubaix, northern France.

Actor Benedict whose guard Jodie is thought to be using was once stalked by a woman in 2016 who was thought to be obsessed with his role on TV series Sherlock.

She was said to have made several trips to the star’s North London home, where lives with wife Sophie.

The Daily Star has contacted Jodie for comment.
