Sharon Osbourne confirms covid diagnosis after caring for unwell husband Ozzy

Sharon Osbourne has confirmed that she contracted Covid-19 from her husband Ozzy after she rushed home to take care of him last week.

On Monday (May 2), the TalkTV host returned to our screens where she joined Jeremy Kyle from her LA home via video link for her show The Talk.

During the emotional interview, the 69-year-old broke down in tears as she shared their latest health update with her co-star as she explained her husband of 39 years is finally on the mend.

But at the same time, she confessed how the virus has now riddled the Osbourne mansion meaning both herself and her daughter Kelly have now been infected.

Sharon told viewers on The Talk: "He’s doing much better thank you. His temperature is now back to normal, his coughing has stopped, he’s doing much better.

"But I've got some news to share. My daughter Kelly has it, I have it and the entire household has it now."

It was at this point that 56-year-old asked if her husband would be returning the favour to look after his wife, which she laughed at, saying: "Maybe, we’ll see. I feel okay actually."

The 73-year-old rocker – who has suffered with an array of health issues including Parkinson’s – was diagnosed with the virus by doctors last week.

But the Black Sabbath frontman has now recovered enough to allow his wife to return to her presenting duties on her show on TalkTV which airs between Monday and Friday at 9pm.

Sharon is set to join her fellow panellists including Ulrika Jonsson via video link from LA moving forward after missing two shows last week.

She added: “I’m so happy to be back at work tonight. Ozzy is doing so much better, thankfully.

“I’m so grateful to everyone for their well wishes and outpouring of love for Ozzy. And to everyone at TalkTV for being so understanding.”

The veteran TV star first revealed her husband had been struck down with the condition last Friday (April 29) after avoiding the virus for two years.

In a heartbreaking video before she jetted off back to LA, she explained how worried she was for her sick husband.

She said: “Ozzy was only diagnosed in the middle of the night our time. I spoke to him and he’s okay.

“I am very worried about Ozzy right now. We’ve got two years without him catching Covid and it’s just Ozzy’s luck it would be now.”
