Back in 1971, John Lennon and Yoko Ono released Happy Xmas (War Is Over) with The Plastic Ono Band and Harlem Community Choir. The Beatles’ legend’s solo single is also famously a protest song against the Vietnam War and has had countless covers, from Céline Dion and Miley Cyrus to John Legend. Now Andrea Bocelli’s son Matteo Bocelli has performed the much-loved track accompanied by a festive music video.

In the music video, Matteo plays a grand pian surrounded by beautifully lit Christmas trees.
The 25-year-old sings alongside his father and sister Virginia Bocelli as part of the new A Family Christmas album.
Matteo said of the opportunity: “Singing these songs together, feeling the holiday warmth with my family is something really special. That’s what Christmas is about – making memories together to cherish forever. It’s really exciting to think that people will have a copy of our album sitting wrapped under the tree.”
