This Mornings Alison Hammond sparks huge backlash as she rides camel in Dubai

This Morning's Alison Hammond has been slammed by PETA for riding a camel in Dubai.

The animal rights group has come forward after Alison shared footage of herself on the humped animals while on her lavish holiday.

The TV presenter, 47, shared the footage on Instagram on Saturday (August 27).

Though PETA has claimed that camels can be caused "tremendous suffering" and have contacted Alison privately to help her become "more informed".

Mimi Bekhechi, Vice President, Europe and Australia, told MailOnline: "We can only assume that Alison is unaware that riding camels causes these animals tremendous suffering."

The group have sent her PETA's US guide so she can try to avoid activities that exploit animals while on holiday.

Mimi added: "For camels used in the tourism trade, life bears no resemblance to a natural existence.

"These intelligent animals are sometimes subjected to violence, stuffed into lorries and trailers for transport, and forced to carry tourists on their backs for hours.

'Exhausted camels work in scorching heat, often without access to shade or water. In fact, camel rides are so cruel that Egypt's Ministry of Tourism has banned them near the pyramids of Giza."

This comes after Alison sent fans with her latest swimwear snap after she posted a jaw-dropping selfie.

Earlier on Saturday (August 27), the TV personality uploaded a picture of her donning a black plunging one-piece swimsuit.

She captioned the post: "Dubai vibes !!"

Fans flocked to the comment section, with one writing: "Looking great love from Glasgow."

Another added: "Looking gorgeous Alison,"

While a third penned: "Looking fabulous darling xxx."

"Legit thought you were Janet Jackson for a sec – the pic whizzed up on my feed!!! Looking fabulous Alison! Enjoy Dubai!" shared a fourth.

A fifth put: "Look at you!! You look like a new woman! As beautiful as ever."

"Every time a see a photo or video of @alisonhammond55 I can't help but smile! Alison is truly living her best life and she deserves everything she gets and more!" remarked a sixth.

Another posted: "Can't wait to see the rest of you Alison you have lost so much weight. Not too much now my girl. Just enough to be healthy. Take care."
