Kailia Posey has sadly passed away at the age of 16, with her mother confirming the news on social media.
Taking to Facebook, Kailia's heartbroken mum shared: "I don’t have words or any thoughts. A beautiful baby girl is gone.
"Please give us privacy as we mourn the loss of Kailia. My baby forever," she added.
It has not yet been confirmed what lead to Kailia's death however there have been reports that she may have been involved in some sort of incident that took place in Las Vegas.
While other reports suggest that she may have been involved in a fatal car accident.
Kailia was a young star on TLC's Toddlers and Tiaras.
The popular reality show ran from 2009 to 2013 and covered the lives of families as they prepped their children to compete in beauty pageants across America.
Though the show was popular at the time, it also sparked controversy, as some viewers felt it encouraged children to dress provocatively.
Many kids from the show rose to prominence as a result, and one of them being Kailia.
While on the reality programme, Kailia was often complimented for her natural talent and won several competitions over the years.
Judging from her Instagram account, Kailia still competed in beauty pageants during her childhood years and was crowned Miss Spotlight West Coast in the national pageant in 2015.
The rising star was raised by her parents Steve Gatterman and Marcy Posey Gatterman and she also had two brothers, Kai and Nick Posey.
Since the news of her passing was announced, fans have taken to social media to share their condolences.
One social media user wrote on Twitter: "I'm so saddened to learn that the beautiful Kailia posey passed away today 🙁 I have admired this girl since she was 6 and I swore she would be the next Miss USA or miss universe.
"Please people, talk to your kids about depression and suicide. it isnt the way out. Rest easy Kai."
While another person wrote: "So sad so young."
A third person shared: "#KailiaPosey #FlyHigh Arabella amd all of these younger girls lover you and watching you on stage was such a treat. You're already missed by many."
