The incident takes place just a few days after the Rae Sremmurd member divulged on Instagram that he and members of his team were trapped in a hotel’s elevator for three hours.
AceShowbiz –Swae Lee attempted a stage dive during his recent gig, but the move failed since the crowd did not properly catch him. The incident took place while the Rae Sremmurd member and his groupmate/brother Slim Jxmmi performed the hit single “No Type” at a nightclub.
In a now-viral video, Lee, whose real name is Khalif Malik Ibn Shaman Brown, was seen spinning around while spitting his verse on the 2014 track. Shortly afterward, he tripped but it did not take long for him to bounce back onstage.
Following his fall, the 29-year-old hip-hop star tried to dive into the crowd. Unfortunately, he failed and hit the ground miserably. Fans were quick to help the emcee to jump back onstage.
Many Instagram users have since reacted to the footage, with one commenting, “Bro fell then got dropped by the crowd. Took 2 L’s in a row.” Another opined, “that was the most awkward 15 seconds of a performance.” A third added, “man tried twice and still nobody catched him.”
A different user, meanwhile, wondered, “Why would you try again if it didn’t work the first time.” Someone else chimed in, “nooo that’s embarrassing.” One person then replied, “Bro attempted to stay balanced.”
The incident took place just a few days after Lee divulged on Instagram that he and members of his team were trapped in a hotel’s elevator for three hours. On Sunday, he posted a video of him being rescued.
“We been trapped in the elevator for three hours,” the “This Could Be Us” rapper said in the clip as he grabs a ladder to climb out. “Three hours trapped in the elevator, man … I’m f**king hot, I’m exhausted.” As for his brother Slim, he was busy with his phone, demonstrating a more relaxed mood than his younger sibling.
