Andrew Tate arrested in human trafficking probe as pizza box gives away location

Controversial mouthy bloke Andrew Tate has been arrested alongside brother Tristan in Romania for human trafficking – and it was a sarcastic video response to climate campaigner Greta Thunberg that led police to him.

Tate, 36, who has become a controversial figure for comments made about women and the role men play in life in recent months, was having an online spat with the 19-year-old when he tweeted her to brag about his “33 cars” and massive engines.

Video of the moment he was arrested has gone viral, much like the spat with Thunberg.

He wrote: “Hello @GretaThunberg, I have 33 cars.

“My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad turbo.

“My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s.

“This is just the start.

“Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions.”

Her response, which instantly went viral, said: “yes, please do enlighten me.

“Email me at [email protected].”

But oddly, he released a video response bragging about some more non-climate friendly acts, while wearing weird attire, before getting a pizza delivered in the video.

And it was that very pizza that now appears to have led to his downfall.

According to Alejandra Caraballo, a writer and clinical instructor posting on Twitter: “Romanian authorities needed proof that Andrew Tate was in the country so they reportedly used his social media posts.

“His ridiculous video yesterday featured a pizza from a Romanian pizza chain, Jerry's Pizza, confirming he was in the country.

“Not only did Greta Thunberg destroy Andrew Tate with her tweet, she made him so angry he inadvertently tipped off Romanian authorities of his presence in Romania with his lame comeback video.

“Greta's tweet has now become one of the top 25 most liked tweets of all time with 2.8 million likes.

“It could easily hit the top ten by the weekend.

“Moral of the story – don't f**k with teenagers on social media (because) they will completely destroy you.”

No specifics on the human trafficking charge have been released by Romanian police yet and Tate has yet to release a comment.
