A declassified Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) document suggesting that the US may have observed ancient life on Mars 27 years ago is going viral on TikTok.
NASA made history yesterday (February 18) when its Perseverance Rover finally touched down on the Red Planet to start its mission of scanning for ancient life.
But, according to a bonkers document uncovered by The Black Vault and simply titled “Mars Exploration May 22, 1984”, the CIA has already found it.
It centres around a "subject" that supposedly used something called “astral projection” to observe ancient life on the Red Planet.
That basically means someone was able to intentionally have an out-of-body experience in order to witness a specific point in time.
As TikTok user Taylor Thomas explained, this person was handed a sealed envelope prior to the interview with strict instructions not to open until it was over.
It read: “The planet Mars. Time of interest approximately 1 million years BC.”
The subject was then given geographic coordinates which, coupled with the sealed envelope, was used as the “method of site acquisition”.
And this was where it got truly bonkers.
The subject claimed to see “an oblique view of a pyramid or pyramid form”.
When asked by the interviewer to “move in time to the time indicated in the envelope”, the subject apparently witnessed life forms.
“I’m seeing, ah, it’s like a perception of a shadow of people, very tall, thin, it’s only a shadow,” they said.
“It’s as if they were there and they’re not, not there anymore.”
They were told to “go back to a period of time where they are there” and the Subject then reported seeing “very large people”.
“They appear thin and tall, but they’re very large. Ah… wearing some kind of strange clothes.”
In his video, amateur researcher Taylor called the document “one of the craziest” he had ever come across.
His post on January 29 has been seen more than 286,000 times and his followers were quick to share their own thoughts on the strange document.
One suggested the interview was undertaken as part of Project MKUltra – where agents gave human experiments drugs to see their effects.
“Were both of them in the project where CIA gave them LSD?” they asked, with laughing emojis.
“I mean if I worked at the CIA… I’d have someone writing up fictitious documents on top of the real ones I release to the public to mislead them,” one wrote.
