Bloke finds out his pics are being used to catfish gay men on dating app

A man was shocked when his pictures were found on a gay dating site in an attempt to catfish men.

Straight Kieran Bear, a quiz night host at The Goose Wolverhampton, took to Facebook after a friend informed him that his photos were being used to attract gay men on Grommio with an interest in 'bears.'

In gay culture, a bear is a larger and often hairier man with a more rugged appearance.

However, Kieran seemed more bothered about the height and the fact that the account wasn't promoting his entertainment work rather than having his photos used on the app.

He said: "So I’ve just been informed somebody is pretending to be me on a gay dating app called Grommio or something like that, now to address, I am straight.

"What I’m most offended about is that apparently, I’m 5'6, bro put some respect on it."

The profile had him listed as being 24, weighing 384lbs and standing at 5ft6in – but his friends in the comments believe he's closer to being 6ft.

The bio on the account, which is operating from Manchester, read: "I'm bi. Just a big bear who is interested in seeing what this is about (bear emoji).

"I work in a pub/bar so I know how to make everyone's favourite drink. Looking for chats to see what the community is like and possible meets in the future."

Kieran's friends were left in hysterics over the profile as Keiran quipped: "Could have promo'd my quiz the b*****ds."

A third joked: "Such a level of disrespect right here, couldn't even promote the quiz or the karaoke."

A fourth said: "You made my favourite drink the other day boo."
