The streets of Cardiff were treated to a bizarre spectacle over the Easter weekend.

A large white caravan was spotted trundling behind an unusual vehicle along the Ely area of the Welsh capital.

However, it was not attached to a car, but a mobility scooter which was seen struggling to tow the weight of the caravan, reported WalesOnline.

A video of the strange scene has since gone viral.

People driving past are heard audibly in shock, with one man capturing the mood and saying: “What the f*** like!”

One video of the commotion captioned the video with the caption: “Only in Ely.”

The footage has spawned a variety of weird and wonderful memes poking fun at the incident with many calling it “hilarious” and other saying the video left them “creased”.

One user quipped that it was just “another day in TOWIE (The Only Way is Ely)."

Weirdly enough, Wales is no stranger to seeing people toeing caravan's on mobility scooters.

Last year, the good people of Rhyl were stunned after seeing a similar scene on their streets.

A woman at the time told MailOnline: "I was on my way home with my friend and I saw the boy on the mobility scooter trying to pull out of a junction.

"I turned the car around and we parked on a street off the main road the guy was going down with the caravan and watched them go past."

"I think my reaction on the video speaks for itself. We were crying with laughter."

Another person's feet was glimpsed underneath the caravan, walking slowly along the road on the other side of it.

The slow-moving scooter and its load stayed close to the side of the street as other traffic easily overtook it.

Social media predictably had a field day on that occasion as well, with one user saying: "This is what happens when you go away for a weekend and you don't want to take the car because of the fuel prices."
