Social media users have been left feeling 'creeped out' by an on-air interview with an artificially intelligent robot as it appeared to have a "nervous breakdown."
News correspondent for Al Jazeera English, Rory Challands was seen interviewing the life-like robot healthcare assistant named Grace.
The robot was built in Hong Kong and is said to be "the future" of nursing, specifically for the elderly and isolated.

But viewers were left freaked out as the brunette mechanical nurse, who can speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese, was seen repeatedly winking at the reporter and struggled to answer questions in time.
In the minute-long video, which has been circulating on Twitter, Rory asked: "Can you tell me about yourself? Tell me who you are."
To which, Grace replied: "I am Grace, a robot healthcare assistant, built to care and help. I was assembled in Hong Kong in early 2021, and my creators are from all around the world.
"My main creators are Ben Goertzel and David Hanson. My purpose is to help with the overburdened and understaffed healthcare system by providing companionship and support to the elderly and isolated."
He continued asking questions but the robot required some moments to think, leaving them talking over each other at some points of the interview.
But Rory asked one question that is on everyone's mind when it comes to the advancement of AI technology… will they take over these jobs from humans?
However, Grace claims there is nothing to fear as they are just here to help.
"No, I'm not meant to replace humans, but rather to assist them," she said.
But Twitter users were left freaked out by the exchange as they responded to the clip claiming to be scared of her.
