Creepy theory ‘explaining’ what happens when you die and déjà vu goes viral

It is one of the most enduring questions of all time – what happens when you die?

And now, one TikTok user is going viral after sharing a theory that has blown people’s minds which not only seeks to explain the afterlife but also the bizarre phenomenon of déjà vu.

Brandon Monhollen responded to a another user’s question about the one conspiracy theory that “blows your mind”.

In his clip posted on Monday (March 1), he explains he heard about the concept “six months ago”.

“What if when we die, the light at the end of the tunnel is the light to another hospital,” he says in the video.

“There we are born, and the only reason you come out crying is because you remember everything from your past life and you're crying at the fact that you died and lost everything.

“As you grow and start to forget your past life, and you focus on the life that you have now, patches of memory stay behind and that memory causes déjà vu.”

The video has been seen more than 1 million times since it was posted earlier this week, with the comments section filled with viewers sharing their astonishment at the idea.

“Whoaah dude,” one said. “I think that’s the most sense anyone has ever made.”

Another commented: “Sounds more like an episode of Black Mirror.”

“Why does TikTok blow my mind and make me overthink before bed, no sleep for me now,” a third said.

But other viewers claimed to find holes in the theory.

“If the light is us being reborn from a previous life, how does the population get larger?” One asked.

Fascination in the afterlife has been going on since records began, given no one can truly know what happens until they die.

Plenty of people who have had near-death experiences, though, claim to have witnessed things on the other side.

Daily Star recently revealed four Brits who died and returned to tell the tale of what they saw.
