Dog owner rewatches pet cam and spots ‘ghost’ remove pooch’s collar

A dog owner believes a "ghost" is haunting her pooches after re-watching her pet cam and seeing something that she couldn't make sense of.

In the clip, uploaded on TikTok by user @shannyfantg her two pooches are barking while resting in different dog crates in the living room.

The dogs yap non-stop until they both suddenly fall silent at once and go incredibly alert and still.

Suddenly, the black dog whimpers and rears back into her cage as far as she can, while at the same instant her collar slips off her neck and falls onto the floor as if moved by an invisible force.

In the caption, the owner writes: "Sorry for the obnoxious barking at the beginning.

"Watch my black dog. Ghost takes her collar off in her crate."

The video was watched more than 8 million times since it was uploaded on Sunday (October 17) and certainly spooked a lot of people, with many people believing it really might be a phantom.

One user said: "Something that messes with dogs doesn't sit right with me."

"I've never seen such a convincing ghost video," said a second person.

A third person commented: "I ain't having a camera in my house if this happens I don't want to know lmao."

"I can't believe it's 2021 and grown adults still believe in ghosts," someone else commented.

According to a YouGov poll from 2014, a sizeable 34% of British people believe in ghosts and 9% even reckon they have communicated with the dead.

Even more weirdly, one in four British people (39%) believe that a house can be haunted by some kind of supernatural being like a poltergeist or departed loved one.
