Ex-security chief says ‘more’ UFO sightings to come – says China ‘not involved’

The former head of the US intelligence services has said the UFO sightings by military personnel is “far greater” than has so far been reported on.

John Ratcliffe, who served as Director of National Intelligence (DNI) from 2020-2021, also ruled out Russia and China being responsible for many of the encounters given the state of technology caught on camera.

Recently, videos have emerged of pyramid-shaped craft, “trans medium” UFOs that can “submerge” in the water and a US Navy ship being swarmed on radar by several mysterious objects.

They have been released by investigative filmmaker Jeremy Corbell ahead of the eagerly-anticipated Pentagon report into UFOs – due to be dropped at the end of the month.

Mr Ratcliffe spoke to Fox News about what he thought would be inside the report, saying: “I think it will talk about the number of sightings – they’re far greater than has been publicly disclosed before.”

He appeared to support Daily Star’s exclusive that up to 100 objects had been spotted over a period in 2019.

“I think there’s been some leaking that there may be as many as 100,” John continued. “I’m not going to dispute that number.”

The politician went on to point out that the sightings, many of which have been caught on camera, have been picked up by multiple sensors.

“When you have multiple sensors under conditions where you see UAPs it explains away a lot of the things like visual disturbances,” he continued.

“And so, I hope the report will address why we can’t answer some of these explanations because the bottom line is that when it comes to national security, ego can’t be involved.

“If there’s something out there that is bigger, faster, stronger, we’ve really got to answer that question.”

Last week, the New York Times revealed what was likely to be released in the UFO report. They suggested intelligence officials had been briefed that some of the objects could have been hypersonic weapons developed by Russia or China.

And Daily Star revealed claims that the report may actually be a cover for a "hypersonic Cold War" between the countries.

But the former DNI chief disagrees, saying: “A lot of people say it’s Russia or China but some of the things that have been publicly talked about, we know for a fact in the intelligence community that things like trans medium properties and hypersonic speeds – Russia and China clearly did not have those in 2004 when these things were sighted and reported.

“We need to get explanations on them and, again, if someone is bigger, faster, stronger out there, we need to know about it.”
