Hidden TikTok trick lets you scroll videos without using your HANDS
- A simple hack allows users to scroll through TikTok using their voice alone
- It was showcased by TikToker ‘Roxanna.roxi’ who has 1.1million followers
- The feature is designed to support people’s visual, physical and hearing needs
TikTok users will know the annoyance of having to listen to a video on repeat because their phone isn’t in reaching distance to swipe to the next video.
But help is at hand, as TikTok star ‘Roxanna.Roxi’ has revealed a handy hack that makes it possible to scroll through a feed without using your hands.
In a quick video, a robotic narrator says: ‘Super cool TikTok trick you didn’t know existed. Did you know you can scroll on TikTok without using your hands? Just say ‘next’.’
As part of the video demonstration, Roxanna shows users how to access the feature from an iPhone’s voice control options.
These are viewable by simply clicking on the ‘accessibility’ tab in the Settings app.

From here, users were then advised to tap the ‘set up voice control’ option where a spoken command can be created and customised.
Although Roxanna chose to say ‘next’ as her command, iPhone owners can choose any phrase they like to make the feed swipe upwards.
Once the phrase is typed into the ‘Create New Command’ section, ‘Run custom gesture’ should then be clicked on.
Here, users should swipe up on their screen as if they were scrolling on their TikTok feed before clicking save.
This allows the iPhone to piece together the spoken command and scrolling action that can be used in the app.
However, its use is not limited to TikTok as Apple says that voice commands can be used to ‘click’, ‘swipe’ and ‘tap’ on phones with ease.
These features were initially designed to make using an iPhone easier for those who are physically or mentally impaired.
Apple’s website reads: ‘You can precisely select, drag and zoom by showing numbers alongside clickable items or by superimposing a grid on the screen.
‘Voice Control also offers a more efficient way to write and edit.

Although the video only features an iPhone, Android devices can also create voice controls to be used on apps.
To do this, Google suggests users first install the Voice Access app and check its detection is on by saying ‘Hey Google’.
After that, the app should be opened and the ‘Voice Activation’ button pressed.
Then all users need to do is simply speak commands such as ‘scroll down’, ‘open Gmail’ and ‘tap to compose’ on the apps they use.
The Voice Access app will ask questions like ‘which one?’ if it is unsure what item on the screen is being referred to.
TikTok has become a central platform for sharing life hacks and hosts many other videos showcasing iPhone tips and tricks.
Two years ago, Kaansanity, 21, from the US, shared a little known hack for ‘hiding’ apps on an iPhone, by changing their name and symbols to easily disguise them.
In the clip, which has more than two million views, the influencer transforms Tinder into what appears to be Apple’s weather app.
The video racked up thousands of comments, with many saying it made them suspicious of their partners.
