The incident has raised concerns about the safety of fairground rides in the area, with some pointing the finger at potentially lax regulations and safety procedures.

Last September, chilling footage captured the moment a thrill ride in India hurtled out of control and crashed into the ground, leaving dozens injured.

On that occasion some fifty people were left injured after the spinning fairground ride malfunctioned and plunged some 80ft.

People were heard screaming in the chilling clip seconds before the ride crashed to the ground.

Several children were among those hurt as paramedics rushed the wounded to local hospitals following the horrific incident, but thankfully no one was killed.
