Linewife vs Bucket Bunny TikTok drama explained as explosive feud goes viral

Since its massively rising popularity during the Covid-19 pandemic, TikTok has been behind some of the biggest global trends, as well as the most juicy drama.

From Mormon MomTok to the disturbing Jeffrey Dahmer polaroid challenge, there's been some truly bizarre content that has gone viral on the app, and the latest addition to TikTok drama is all to do with linemen, linewives and Bucket Bunnies.

American linewife vs Bucket Bunny content has been quickly taking over the video platform, leaving users in the UK pretty confused.

As the niche community drama continues to trend, here's what it's all about.

What is a lineman and a linewife?

A lineman refers to a male lineworker, whose job is to install and maintain electrical power, telephone or telegraph lines.

The role of a lineworker becomes increasingly important in the aftermath of a natural disaster, as it is linemen and women who are sent out to repair the damage caused to electrical lines and wires.

While not every lineman has to travel, it is a very common part of the job and they can often spend weeks working without being able to return home.

A linewife is pretty self-explanatory and simply refers to the wives of lineworkers.

What is a Bucket Bunny?

A Bucket Bunny is the nickname given to women who sleep with linemen while they are away for work.

The Urban Dictionary defines a Bucket Bunny as "a woman who hops from electrical lineman to lineman looking to have sex often not caring if the men are single or married".

The "Bucket" element of the nickname stems from a lineman's work truck, which is known to have a long extended bucket.

What is Bucket Bunny vs Linewife TikTok?

With Hurricane Ian creating a path of deadly destruction through Florida recently, there have been an increasing number of linemen and linewomen sent to the state to restore power.

In a bizarre turn of events, the linewives of the workers heading to Florida have been taking to TikTok to warn the women of Florida to stay away from their husbands.

The viral feed can be traced back to a video posted by TikTok user Emily Hosein, showing her Tinder being flooded with the profiles of linemen.

The video, which has racked up over nine million views, has seen Emily receive backlash from linewives, who have accused her of being a Bucket Bunny.

Since then, more linewives have been leaving warnings to Bucket Bunnies and women in Florida have been responding to the videos, creating a slew of very niche drama that has quickly landed on the For You pages of TikTok users across the globe.
