Paranormal investigator thought ‘10ft tall Bigfoot’ would ‘tear him to pieces’

A paranormal investigator has opened up about a frightening encounter with a Bigfoot creature, in which he claimed that he thought he might be eaten.

Bigfoot creatures – also sometimes known as Sasquatch – are believed to exist in some rural areas of the US and Australia, though their existence has never been proven.

So-called experts have offered conflicting opinions about the mythical creatures’ characteristics, with one recently suggesting that they can cause humans to “freeze” by panicking people into paralysis.

Now, paranormal investigator Walter Padilla has offered his evidence to support the existence of Bigfoot by recalling how he was allegedly confronted by a monster while hunting for it in the forest.

“This thing is about nine and a half to ten feet tall, massive muscles. He looked to be black but he could have been dark brown; it was very dark,” he told the Unsolved Mysteries podcast.

“It looked like it had no neck, like the head was just plopped on top of its shoulders. Eyes as big as golf balls, and I noticed that its hands were so big that they reached a bit below the knees.

“I froze for the first time in my life and I felt an impending fear of death. I grabbed my gun and holstered it, I realised my weapon wasn’t going to do anything but p*** it off, so I put my hands up in the air and I started yelling, ‘I’m done, I’m dead!’”

So, Walter described how he had taken the sensible decision to abandon his hunt, but not before fearing that he might come to serious harm.

He continued: “I turn around and I’m walking out, thinking that this thing is going to grab me, tear me to pieces, eat me, do something to me, I pretty much said, ‘this is how I’m going to die’.

Thankfully, Walter managed to make a swift escape to his car, before fumbling for his keys and speeding off once his companion Chris had arrived back from his hiding spot.

But, despite his fear, Walter was reluctant to entirely abandon his quest, so reached out to a Bigfoot research team based in Texas.

And, after returning to the site with the team in the safety of daylight, the investigator admitted that he had been left scarred by what he had witnessed.

“This affected me profoundly, I had a lot of nightmares, I still do sometimes, I began to get scared at everything. It was a traumatic experience but I need to deal with it because I refuse to give up enjoying nature,” he said.
