Technology from UFOs that were shot down is allegedly “being reverse-engineered right now” by the US Government in secret.

US Congressman Tim Burchett, 57, believes “we have recovered a craft at some point and possible beings” that are currently being taken apart and studied.

He said: “I think that a lot of that’s being reverse-engineered right now, but we just don’t understand it.”

His comments come after four objects were blasted from the sky over North America in February.

The first – identified by the Pentagon as a Chinese surveillance balloon – was taken out off the coast of South Carolina. China has stated it was a civilian airship collecting meteorological data.

But the Defense Department has not confirmed the nature of the remaining three objects, which were targeted by US fighter jets over Alaska, Lake Huron in Michigan, and Canada.

US Air Force General Glen VanHerck refused to deny that at least one may have had alien origins, saying: “I haven’t ruled out anything.”

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said there was “no indication of aliens or extraterrestrial activity” adding she “wanted to make sure that the American people knew that”. But the shoot-downs have triggered huge interest in UFOs worldwide.

The US Government is probing 510 reported close encounters involving Top Gun pilots dating back decades – many related to nuclear sites.

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby confirmed President Joe Biden ordered a team to investigate the “broader policy implications for detection, analysis, and disposition of unidentified aerial objects that pose either safety or security risks”.

Last year Mr Burchett said it was “only a matter of time” before an aircraft crashes into a UFO above Earth.
