Britain's No1 alien hunter reckons the world has been blitzed by UFOs – and it has been hushed up.

Nick Pope, 55, believes multiple leaks of military-shot videos showing craft off the US West Coast were “just the tip of the iceberg”.

He said: “How many more sightings are going on that we are not seeing? I suspect a lot.

“The Government can no longer get away with dismissing those who have reported sightings of UFOs as cranks.

“If they know what these strange phenomena are then they should be transparent and tell us.

“And if they don’t – well, then we really do have reason to worry.”

Nick, who for three years manned the Ministry of Defence’s UFO desk probing sightings, believes the craft could also be secret US Air Force technology released to test defences.

Or, he claimed, they could be aircraft made by Russia or China.

His remarks come ahead of a bombshell US government report into UFO sightings, which is due to be delivered to Congress next month.

Marco Rubio, the Republican senator for Florida, has claimed UFOs must be taken “seriously”.

He told CBS's 60 Minutes: “Anything that enters an airspace that’s not supposed to be there is a threat.

“I want us to take it seriously and have a process to take it seriously.”

John Ratcliffe, the former director of National Intelligence in the US, has claimed there are sightings “all over the world”.

He said: “And when we talk about sightings, the other thing I will tell you, it’s not just a pilot or just a satellite or some intelligence collection.

“Usually, we have multiple sensors that are picking up these things.”

And Professor Daniel Drezner, an international politics expert at Tufts University, has claimed the report could reveal super-smart aliens are visiting us in peace.
