Twitch streamer ban for ‘sexually suggestive conduct’ for link to ‘spicy page’

A Twitch streamer has been banned for "sexually suggestive conduct" after posting a joke link to her "spicy page".

Speed dating Twitch content creator, Kyootbot, claims her ban most likely came as a result of a link on her page that took users to “spicy content” — but it’s not exactly what you think.

According to a vague email to Kyootbot, she was banned for “sexually suggestive conduct,” found in either her stream title or bio.

The streamer, however, believes she understands why the ban occurred, despite the lack of clarity from the platform's email.

“I think I got banned because of my ‘spicy content’ link on my page… which literally just leads to a screenshot of jalapeño peppers,” she said.

As Twitch doesn’t comment on individual bans, it’s impossible to know whether her assessment is 100% accurate, though it might make her reconsider having a “spicy content” link on her Twitch page at all.

Kyootbot blew up on Twitch after becoming a channel known for viewer interaction as she allowed fans call in for a dating session with her.

She enjoyed a rapid rise in popularity on Twitch in 2021, largely thanks to her unique format of content, where she allows viewers to attempt to woo her with their talents or charisma.

The temporary suspension, is not the first time she has landed in hot water with the platform though.

In July 2022, she received her first ban over, in her own words, “attire sh*t,” presumably meaning she flouted the platform’s rules on appropriate clothing, outside of gym or hot tub streams.

Although once again we'll have to take her word for it, Twitch began telling users why a channel is unavailable in January in an attempt to be more transparent about bans, but that still only provides a vague rather than specific explanation.
