Walkers in popular beauty spot ‘stalked by black-eyed ghost’ uncovered by drone

Walkers in popular woodland are being terrorised by the ghost of a black-eyed girl.

A drone captured the spooky image in Cannock Chase, Staffs.

Ghost hunters claim the “seriously creepy footage” could be proof that spirits roam the area.

Professional hunter Robert Pulme revealed: “Cannock Chase is considered one of the most haunted places in Britain, so it is no surprise the area draws in lots of rumours about beasts and ghouls.

"We have had lots of reports of a ‘black eyed girl’ seen walking around.

“At first she appears like a normal girl and walkers are worried a little girl is lost in the woods.

"Then they see her eyes and she just disappears. It is terrifying.”

Robert says it is believed the black-eyed ghost children are local victims who died during a diphtheria outbreak in the 1800s, with the disease making their eyes appear sunken and dark.

But other tales say the ghouls are the victims of killer Raymond Morris, who murdered three children in the area between 1965 and 1967.

Other people who have commented on the drone footage said the video was “fake” or clearly a “person dressed up”.

Last year, your Daily Star Sunday revealed a Bigfoot-type creature was spotted in the same woods.

Investigator Lee Brickley found a 41cm footprint that “proved” the beast exists.
