A TikToker from the Netherlands has shared the traumatic effects of the Botox injections which left her with a lisp and a crooked smile and warned her young followers against the treatments.

Nikita Kimberly, 21, said that after undertaking a round of the treatment, in which she received chin and lip fillers, she was left with the unappealing side effects almost immediately.

As Botox and fillers are cosmetic surgeries – and don’t involve going under the knife – there are no age restrictions for having them meaning young people could potentially rush into the procedure.

She told her 3000 followers back in late 2021: "I got Botox in my chin because I had a muscle that was that was working a bit too hard, so whenever I smiled I had a dent in my chin.

"'As long as I don't talk or smile with my mouth open, I look fine.

"But once I smile or talk, my whole face gets crooked — and I normally didn't have this.

"'Don't get Botox, please — lip fillers, fine, but don't get Botox, please. Never."

Reacting to Nikita's plight, her followers were full of sympathy and advice with some saying they had undergone similair treatments.

One said: "It’s the injector's fault. Make sure you do your research. Been getting it for years and never had a problem."

Another opined: "Not me freaking out because I got this today"

One person assured her the effects would be temporary, writing: "It will dissolve don’t worry!!"

And sure enough, their words of kindly advice came to pass as later in 2021, Nikita shared an update of her look with the facial abnormalities significantly toned down.

She said: "As you can see, it's not as bad as it used to be.

"It's still a bit crooked, mostly when I relax my mouth when it's open or when I talk quite outrageously, like with a lot of emotion.

"Otherwise, it's not that noticeable."
