A teenager using a fake ID was arrested after calling the police to get it back from a bar.

Blakelee Sands, 18, had pulled out an ID card belonging to 'McKamie Queen' in an attempt to be served at a bar in Edmond, Oklahoma on Tuesday night.

Wise to the fraud, the bartender correctly suspected Ms Sands was under the legal drinking age of 21 and confiscated her Texas ID, Fox 25 News Oklahoma reports.

Rather than accepting defeat and giving up on her dreams to consume alcohol at a bar, Sands brazenly called Edmond Police to help recover the ID.

Responding officers arrived at the bar in the 1100 block of South Broadway where the bartender handed over to them a Texas ID with the name 'McKamie Queen'.

After the 18-year-old insisted she was the woman on the identity card, police ran the Texas ID license number which completely foiled her unrelenting claims.

The search revealed McKamie Queen's ID was in fact eligible out of Texas to a Robert Sanchez.

Stunned by the officers' thorough search into the ownership of her fake ID, Sands admitted to them that she did not think she would get caught.

Having called the police in the first place in the hope that officers would believe her and help get her ID back, Sands ended the night in Edmond City Jail.

Officers slapped handcuffs on her for presenting a false ID with the purpose of misleading officers.

Her bond money and trial details are yet to be released.
