Woman ‘spots dead husband eating at Indian restaurant’ in ‘new’ promo video

A woman has claimed that she has seen her dead husband eating at a restaurant despite losing him nine years ago.

Facebook user Lucy Watson commented on a new promo video shared online by Spice Cottage in Westbourne, West Sussex, on January 16.

Asking how old the footage was, she said that she could see her son and husband in the video, despite the latter passing away in 2014.

The restaurant’s Facebook account said in response that the footage was filmed just a week before it was uploaded.

The venue, established in 1994, posted the video with a caption that read: “New year, new mood!

“For the last few weeks, we've been working hard to make our dining experience even more memorable.

“Join us for a perfect blend of exquisite flavours, with classical and unique dishes inspired by ancient family recipes”.

At time of publication, neither Lucy Watson nor Spice Cottage have posted any updates regarding the story.

One social media user wasn’t convinced the interaction was real, calling it “an advertising ploy”.

Others cracked jokes at the bizarre situation, with one user saying: “I was there on this day and the flat bread that I ordered arrived after our main course, it was my late naan”.

Another quipped: “He must’ve been in a korma this whole time”.

Watson may not be alone in seeing ghosts in pubs.

The Daily Starreported in Januarythat paranormal investigators heard voices crying out for help in The Black Inn, Wakefield.

The investigators said they wanted to return to the pub soon, adding: “It was a cracking night”.

The pub often ranks high in lists that look at the most haunted places in England.

The Daily Star has contacted Lucy Watson and Spice Cottage for comment.
