Airline cancels another 2,200 flights this summer | The Sun

Another airline has confirmed that thousands more flights will be cancelled this summer.

Lufthansa announced that another 2,200 flights will be cancelled across Europe.

Last month, Lufthansa announced that 900 short-haul flights would be cancelled in July.

The affected flights will be on Fridays and weekends, with a number of destinations across Europe affected.

However, the German airline has since said they would be cancelling another 2,200 on top of this, out of their 80,000 flights.

The main hubs affected are Frankfurt and Munich, affecting both midweek and weekend flights according to local media.

"We expect the situation to return to normal by 2023.”
